Here comes the rain again

Well that sunshine didn't last too long; we played volleyball Friday in basically a tornado! The wind started blowing pretty hard while we were playing and the sand was swirling around all over the place. Once it started sprinkling and the rain wet the sand down a bit, the playing was a little easier. It was actually kind of fun playing in that weather! Today Lenny and I went to a couples baby shower/BBQ for our friends Jim and Val who are expecting their first child in August. Jane, I'm sure if you were there you would have thought you had died and gone to heaven - they had not one, not two, but THREE cakes!!! A yellow cake with chocolate icing, a red velvet cake, and my personal fave, a carrot cake. I don't know what it was, but that carrot cake was like the best thing I have eaten in a LONG time. I am pretty sure I'm going to go to bed tonight with visions of carrot cake dancing in my head.
